Longmont Rotary Launches

21st Annual Winter Warmth Coat Drive

Although we have had a beautiful warm fall, winter is just around the corner. Families are already coming to the Our Center for warm clothing for their children. Because the need is great within our own community, the Annual Winter Warmth Coat Drive is organized by Longmont Rotary to encourage local donations and distribution. "Your generous donations have been greatly appreciated in the past and we are asking for your continued support as we try to meet the needs of many families in the Longmont area" said Phyllis Dwyer, one of the co-chairs of the Drive.

Gently used and clean coats, hoodies, fleece, gloves, hats, blankets, sleeping bags boots, and scarves are all needed. "Anything that will help keep someone warm will be appreciated," she said. There is also a critical need for children's coats.

Citizens may donate items at a number of locations around Longmont. The following sites will begin operating October 17 and run through November 30, 2011. All sites are open during their normal business hours.
